I grew up in Oak Park and spent many years working and partying downtown, so I remember many of the places you mentioned. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Now, where did I park?

If you parked over dere, Lincoln Towing got ya. Head down to lower lower Lower Wacker, but stop by the ATM first cuz they don't take plastic.

NEW STORY! Way back in the 80's I got my first real job downtown. With a large paycheck coming in I decided I needed to invest some money for the future, so I found a broker. To impress me, he picked me up after work in his new 'vette and too me out to wine and dine me at a fancy north-side restaurant. He parked in a sketchy lot saying that he's parked there before so there's no problem. After dinner we came out and, you guessed it, the car was gone. After a payphone call to the police, we find out that Lincoln had towed it! I accompanied him in a cab to Lincoln to try and get his car back. It cost him A LOT OF CASH to get it back! (He carried a lot to cash to impress me, I guess.) Anyway, he drove me to the train and I went home. I did some business with him until one day I called up to check on my portfolio. He told me that he was retiring as he had made his fortune and was ready to move on! I found out later he was fired for stealing $8,000 from an old woman's trust account!

Dealing with Lincoln Park was like dealing with the mob. At least I guess he didn’t steal YOUR money?
